I want my country back!

A few years ago I believed our country had a representative government. I still beleive this is true today, however who they represent continues to change. Why is it that we as a people have allowed our government to be controlled so much by the mighty dollar? And why do we allow politicians to have a multi-term career making laws that the majority of Americans do not agree with or support.

As we begin to see the blatent abuse of powers given to government where did we loose our way? As many may agree there are many events that have lead to the current state of the country. The blame can be shared by both dominant political parties and many presidential administrations. I think our founding fathers knew powers would be abused so they put in laws to control this. Unfortunatly the rules are being chipped away slowly.

I beleive one issue is people today think they are entiltled to rights. Rights were given to us by God. The government does not give us our rights. When as a people we begin to think we have the right to things other people have worked hard for(money, success), we have lost the dream our founding fathers saw for us. We disgrace the soldiers who gave there lives for this democracy.

It is every citizens responsibilty to stand up for the rights God gave them and not allow the government to take them away. It is our responsiblity to get involved to presrve our rights and our childrens rights! If this means a revolution so be it!
